As a Peace Corps volunteer, I lived in a city of 150,000. Despite its size, everybody knew who and where I was — a Catholic priest from Casablanca (25 miles away) found me though my house had no number, and friends would show up during walks having heard that I was headed in a certain direction. Townsfolk probably knew other, more private things as well, but all of that shared info was expected. Now, I only really worry about medical records and my SS#.

Writer, ESL instructor, editor, traveler, seasonal ex-pat— my life is both an intentional and serendipitous circumstance. Motto — “Buy the ticket, and go!”
